Perhaps impossible to define, perhaps impossible to answer.
Beauty has to evoke an emotion, it has to struck a cord.
A beautiful scenery will give me a deep-rooted feeling of contentness – of happiness. Beautiful objects may trigger dozens of different feelings depending on the objects themselves, a beautiful tune will make my heart ache. A beautiful person (does not restrict to physical beauty) will make my affection bloom. Beautiful actions make me want to change, and beautiful ideas inspire me.
Beauty has to have the ability to move someone.
I have to stress that this is my own subjective reflecting which works for me, and not a view I expect people to agree with. Nor to find logical at all. Do note that I speak of all kinds of beauty.
(This does not mean that anything that evokes an emotion will be beautiful though, it works one way but not the other!)
What about you guys? What is ‘beauty’ to you? Could you define your view of ‘beauty’?

It doesn’t usually happen that systematically for me. When I find beauty, I just know it’s beauty. Haha, but beauty for me is something like the way it is for you :)

Beauty for me is pretty much how you described it. You write so well!!
Or should I say, beautifully? ;D hahahahaaadksdlf fattig.
beauty to me, cannot be defined. Because people all view beauty from their own perspective.
- Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder
I dont usually think over it, i just know when i see something beautiful. I just know.
But your way of describing it is very poetic and I expected nothing less from you XP
very well put :)
I’m still trying to find out what beauty is or means~
oh i love what you have put in this entry !
i think that beauty is etched in every single person’s face, simply because the fibers of it are so different from some one else’s. The fact that your face isn’t the same as my face is simply amazing, really. I like looking at people’s features and how different they are :)
also, i think that aqua blue eyes are a thing of beauty. i’m talking the clear, no specks, carribean blue kind.
I’m going to go Buddhist here, and go:
Beauty lies in asking the question
That’s what I think anyway…
