If you’d like to come with suggestions to details (or simply anything you’d like to point out) before I hit the sewing machine, do it now! I think I’ll start with the second design with the hand-stitching and criss-crosses! I love criss-crosses! And I love the charming look of rough stitches! I’ll probably never get to do the first one, don’t have the buttons!
Both designs are based on a really cute thing I found at Vero Moda. I want something casual, summerish and obviously cute, so don’t let your design musé go all out, eh!
..oh, who am I kidding! I’ll probably add some crazy Kiyu-ish, nutty detail in the process! Knock yourself out!

I like the right one. It’s got character, if you know what I mean.
I agree, and I know what you mean :)
Your designs look lovely–my favourite is the second one! I’m eager to find out how you’ll be doing the closure; when I first saw the sketch, I though of perhaps buttoning hidden by the placket embellished with criss-crosses … but lacing in the back will probably be much cuter! Also, I love the little bee! I like the idea of “tiny embroidery (fewer, rougher and chubbier stitches) enlarged”!
Can’t wait to see the finished product!
My brain went like this:
Lacing is cute, and it’s hot as well.
But I want to be able to drag it on while in a hurry, swift and effortless!
Darn, laces won’t do then.
But it goes so well with the design!
We need eyelets. Where are your eyelets, woman?
..right. I ran out of eyelets.
No eyelets = no lacing
BOH!
What about elastics? Swift and effortless!
Not pretty.
Swift and effortless.
Alright, I’m in.
So I ended up with elastics! Sewing elastics was hell, I sure hope the swift and effortlessness will make up for it!
Kiyu! I so love your designs! Have you decided on what colors you’ll use? Do you accept orders? I’m a size 34 (xs/s) hahaha.
Cybele! You know I was actually thinking of you when I designed the left one? See your hairdo? Not that I’ve seen you with this kind of apparel, but I thought your hairdo might look good with it! But now I’m thinking it would look better on the right one.
I have decided on colors for the right piece, and am in the midst of making it! And I so wish I was a professional fashion designer, I sure could do with some extra cash now that I’ve chosen a university in England. (Which is quite expensive too, I might add)
And you know what, you’re my size (and approximately my height too!), so you could probably just steal mine and still look as if it was tailored for you!
Oh my! You’re going to study in England? What course? Im so jelous i think im gonna die. You’d be a great fashion designer! And oh, the hairdo resemblance is cute. I can only have one hairdo since my hair is short. I want your hair. Trade!
(dont forget to send me post cards from England. pen-pal lol)
I personally think you should go and make both?
I will if I have/can get the supplies?
the second one! VERY CUTE! Go GO kiyu!
