I’ll be going to a pharmacy ball in Desember. Will actually be the very first ball I attend! Excited!
Has anyone wondered why I wear clothes with empire waist a lot? Empire waist elongates a petite figure and enhances a small bust. Perfect for me. A trick to remember, Trinh and Phuc! The skirt’s not going to be this full, though. It’s just the walking that makes it “pouf” up. I’m going to hunt for fabrics on saturday to make my love.
Reference pictures to the style of my gown can be seen below!

Really? Perhaps it doesn’t work for everyone, because every time I have used a dress with empire waist I look fatter than I am XD
Does it flair out a lot from the bust line? And do you have a big bust? Because it enhances a small bust, a medium to big bust will look EVEN bigger, and the more it flares out from bust line, the bigger you’ll look unfortunately. That’s why it doesn’t really matter to petite figures because they NEED the meat anyway. But if you’re really conscious about how you look and thinks empire waists are not flattering on you, perhaps it’s not the best idea then. It will however make you look taller!
That’s really pretty! Can’t wait to see the end result!
…Man, I wish I could sew… am currently trying to learn, though. I have scenography and costume design as a subject in school. How was it you learned to sew? Could you teach me~? :D
I would probably not be the best to teach anyone about sewing, I don’t really know how to draw proper patterns because I just make them up! You know, no-one’s going to wear the stuff except for me anyway, so why bother making it the proper way? I want to learn though, it would make my life much easier!
